In my 80 years, I've never felt such enthusiasm for Christ and the Bible as I have in these past few months, thanks to The Chosen.
I was born into my faith, and over time, I've grown within it, slowly but surely. I've been fortunate to experience God's grace in profound ways, which has deepened my love, devotion, and understanding of Him. Less than a year ago, I stumbled upon The Chosen and decided to give it a shot. From the first episode of the first season, I was captivated. I devoured all three seasons in just three days. The joy and love for Christ, Scripture, and our shared history that this show has sparked in me is beyond words. I've watched it multiple times, and I'm still discovering new details and nuances. In my 80 years, I've never felt such enthusiasm for Christ and the Bible as I have in these past few months, thanks to The Chosen. The show, along with its round table discussions, podcasts, and specials, has been a gift. I only wish I could contribute more financially to the completion of all seven seasons. If God calls me home before I get to experience them all, know that my prayers will continue. I pray that His grace will reach over a billion people through The Chosen, a healing balm for our hurting, broken world.

I have a 10 year old son who was recently diagnosed with Autism. I have hope, pride and a grateful heart…but still, in the very depths of my heart, was the fear: “How can he serve you if He doesn’t understand the concept of an unseen Father?” I prayed and God answered. I gave The Chosen a chance. Once we realized that Matthew’s character was autistic, I fell on my knees and wept for maybe an hour. Seeing Jesus telling Simon “get used to different” still brings tears of joy. Jesus saw Matthew’s value. He understood he was different but not less useful than his other disciples. But the most important lesson was that Matthew had the capacity to love and willingly gave his life to Jesus on his own accord. Every episode felt like God Himself telling me, “look! I will work through your son, and he is no different than my other sheep. Your son not only will be able to know but love Me and serve Me in ways you cannot imagine”. I see the correlation between making Matthew’s character autistic and a tax collector, but I felt God inspired it on purpose so I could see how far He can take my son. My son’s name is Mattias, the Hebrew version of Matthew. My son not only understands that Matthew in The Chosen is like him, but he willingly came to us to get baptized and accept Jesus into his heart. Our pastors and I asked him if he understood what it means: he knew Jesus for sure. Not only did he get baptized but he recently wrote in his closet door “God is good”, stating that he feels God in his room with him. You have NO IDEA how much the show helped my husband and I to know and understand that our Matthew, is loved, has purpose and will grow into the man of God, we know he will be. I’m sure the Holy Spirit is working overtime inspiring the writers, the cast, and everyone involved. Thank you for being a vessel, for being a beacon of light and hope! The world will get used to different.

The Chosen has given me a platform to share Jesus with others, something I've always wanted to do but struggled with.
When The Chosen first came out, I watched the first season and thought it was pretty good. But that was it, and I moved on. Then, while listening to a podcast sermon, the pastor mentioned The Chosen as his favorite show about the life of Jesus that wasn't corny. He talked about a scene in episode 4 where Jesus told Peter to "get used to different." I couldn't remember that scene, so I went back to re-watch episode 4. I watched it multiple times but couldn't find that specific scene. It must have been in a different episode. So, I started from the beginning with episode 1 and re-watched the whole season. This time, something amazing happened. With each episode, I noticed more and more of the beauty and intricacies of the story, and it really touched my heart. Finally, at the very end of episode 7, I found the "get used to different" scene. By then, I had watched every episode three or four times, searching for that one line that caught my attention. It felt like God was trying to get my attention. Since then, I've been fully invested in The Chosen. I support it financially, share it with as many people as I can, and have been fortunate enough to participate in extra opportunities in Texas and Utah. I've watched every live stream and special that has been created. My life has already been incredibly blessed, but The Chosen has given me a platform to share Jesus with others, something I've always wanted to do but struggled with. My journey as a Christian began amidst adversity and danger. After converting to Christianity, my family and I faced severe threats in Tunisia, which led us to seek refuge in the Middle East. Here, I became part of the Lighthouse Arab World ministry, using media and art to spread the evangelical message. My life took a significant turn when my son introduced me to "The Chosen," a series depicting the life of Jesus. Watching it, I was immediately struck by its artistic depth, the stunning cinematography, and the powerful portrayal of characters, especially Matthew. It resonated deeply with me. "The Chosen" was more than just a series for me; it was a revelation. I saw my own experiences of rejection mirrored in Matthew's life, bringing a sense of connection and understanding. This spurred me and my team at Lighthouse in Egypt and Lebanon to embark on a significant mission: translating "The Chosen" into Arabic and other languages. We recognized its potential to reach hearts in a way few other things could, aiming to make it accessible in 100 languages. The impact of "The Chosen" on the youth across the Arab region has been extraordinary. In places like Beirut, Egypt, and Syria, young people, Christian and non-Christian alike, are experiencing Christ in a completely new light. They're engaging with a story that they've never understood so intimately before. Our work with "The Chosen" is not just about translation; it's about opening doors to new perspectives and hope. It's an opportunity to show God's love and salvation in a way that's relatable and transformative. This is why I'm so passionate about this project – it's more than a series, it's a tool for change, offering a new vision of hope and redemption to all who watch it.
