Transforming Global Fans into Loyal Followers

A message to ignite your prayers for the global impact of The Chosen.

At the Arkansas Valley Correctional Facility, incarcerated individuals have been watching The Chosen since 2021. One man explained it perfectly when describing his connection to Jesus: "He is a person just like us. (We) get to see how he came to meet the weak and the lame, the sheep without the Shepherd. And Jesus knows how to joke, and Jesus will cry with you."

In partnership with ministries around the world, Come and See is on a mission to get The Chosen into communities that may be left untouched by the story of Jesus. That is where global distribution comes in. For our team, it is imperative that everyone everywhere experience this content in their heart language, localized to their community, and immersed in their voice.

On the other side of the world, our team attended a one-of-a-kind premiere of The Chosen in Madagascar in light of a special invitation from President Andry Rajoelina. After viewing The Chosen himself, President Rajoelina wanted to bring the series to his country in their heart language. The response of the people was one of both gratitude and humility. “I’ve watched [other] series about Jesus, but this was different,” one woman shared. “When you (hear) Him in Malgasy, it touches your heart—and not just my heart but the heart of the Malagasy people.”

As we approach Season 6, we can't help but be humbled at the journey ahead in this pivotal part of the story of Jesus. We eagerly anticipate more powerful global stories like these to be told and to hear about the transformation of hearts.

Here are specific ways you can be praying for the global distribution of The Chosen as we bring the hope of Jesus to the ends of the earth:

First and foremost, I would ask that you be open to the Holy Spirit's leading as you pray.   God continues to show me that his ways, his plans, and his actions are so much bigger and bolder than anything I could do or plan.  To be in his will and his plan is my overwhelming desire.  Please pray for our efforts to reach people in Africa, the Middle East, and Asia, and that this would be more than a show, turning fans into followers.

Secondly, I ask you to pray for our partnerships around the world. Through our partnership with The Bible Project, YouVersion, Prison Fellowship, Cru, and so many others, we are uniting as one to share the Good News with the world. I ask you to pray for our current partners and future partners as well.

Lastly, in Come and See and our ministry partners around the world, we have extraordinarily talented team members who are devoting their lives to globally distributing The Chosen. We ask that you pray for our wisdom in navigating uncharted territory. The verse that I go to almost every day is James 1:5: "If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you."

From a living room in San Francisco to another in São Paulo; from densely populated cities to the most remote of villages; from college campuses to maximum-security prisons, we ask you to pray for The Chosen to reach all ends of the earth.  We see hope behind bars, hope rising on college campuses, and remote villages responding to Jesus with a sense of hope and longing. And the world is responding to it.

Blessings,
